Freight Capacity Constraints: Middle East Disruptions Impact Global Shipping

Geopolitical developments in the Middle East are creating renewed freight capacity constraints across global ocean and air networks.

 

Red Sea rerouting is extending transit times and reducing effective vessel capacity, while airport and airspace closures are tightening available air freight lift. Several regional carriers have reduced or suspended services on impacted trade lanes, further concentrating space availability and increasing rate volatility.
